Introduction

The Indian Institute of Management Ranchi is delighted to announce its inaugural Doctoral Research Conference, set to take place on 23^rd and 24^th August, 2024. This pioneering event is dedicated exclusively to PhD students who are in the advanced stages of their thesis. It offers a unique platform for emerging scholars to present their research, gain invaluable feedback from expert panellists, and engage in rich intellectual exchanges. As we embark on this academic journey, we are thrilled to collaborate with Harvard Business Publishing, our esteemed knowledge partner, ensuring an enriching experience for all attendees.

Aims and Objectives

The Doctoral Research Conference (DRC) 2024 aspires to set a benchmark in academic excellence by congregating doctoral candidates from prestigious institutions within India. Our mission extends beyond conventional academic discourse, aiming to sculpt a nurturing ground for scholarly development, collaboration, and innovation in the vast expanse of management research. The objectives of the conference are carefully designed to mirror our commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and scholarly exchange:

Fostering Scholarly Excellence

We aim to spotlight and support outstanding research by doctoral students in various domains of management, including but not limited to Operations Management, Entrepreneurship, Finance and Accounting, Economics and Public Policy, Information Systems, Marketing, Organizational Behavior, Human Resources Management, and Strategy. By doing so, we encourage a tradition of rigorous and impactful research.

Promoting Scholarly Discourse

The conference is dedicated to enabling direct engagement between upcoming researchers and distinguished academicians from both national and international borders. This interaction aims to provide doctoral candidates with critical feedback, enabling them to refine their research with an eye toward publication and broader dissemination.

Key Highlights

Only full paper submissions will be accepted
Up to 10 full papers will be selected for final presentation
Best paper awards
Exclusive discussant for each paper presentation
There is no registration fee for the selected participants
Accommodation and food will be provided only to participants during the conference
Travel expenses up to Rs 15,000 (Economy Class Air Fare/Upto AC 2-Tier Train Fare) will be reimbursed upon providing the original receipt

Important Dates

Submission opens: 20 March 2024
Submission Deadline: 20 May 2024
Notification of Acceptance: 31 July 2024
Conference Date: 23-24 August 2024

Submission Guidelines

Eligibility: The conference is open to PhD students who are at the advanced stage of their thesis.
Peer Review: All submissions will undergo a rigorous peer review process. Only submissions that meet our high standards of quality and originality will be accepted for presentation.

Date: 23-24 August 2024
Venue: Indian Institute of Management Ranchi
Program: Detailed schedule to be announced. The conference will feature keynote speeches, and research paper presentations across various academic disciplines.

Registration

For Presenters: Selected presenters will be notified via email with further instructions on registration and presentation guidelines.
For Attendees: Faculties and Doctoral Scholars, other than presenters might participate in the conference upon registration. Attendees can attend with a fees of INR 5000 (accommodation and travel expenses will not be provided). Click here to Register. Last date for registration is 10th August 2024. There is no provision for on-the-spot registration on the day of the conference.
