Dr John Kujur is an Assistant Professor at the Indian Institute of Management Ranchi. He obtained his PhD in Economics from the Centre for Development Studies, Thiruvananthapuram (Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi). Prior to joining IIM Ranchi, he worked at GITAM (Deemed to be University), Hyderabad Campus as an Assistant Professor. He also worked with the National Institute of Science Education and Research, Bhubaneswar; Centre for Budget and Policy Studies, Bengaluru; and the University of Leicester and was involved in various projects related to tribal issues. His research interest lies in the areas of Indigenous studies, land economics, occupational mobility, development economics, and gender inequality. His research has been published in many leading journals like World Development and Land Use Policy.
