Dr. Prabhu is an Assistant Professor in the Organizational Behavior & Human Resources area at the Indian Institute of Management Ranchi. Prior to IIM Ranchi, he served at the Indian Institute of Management, Bodh Gaya, and Christ (Deemed to be University), Bangalore. He holds a PhD in Psychology from Central University of Karnataka, Kalaburagi. His doctoral research investigated the role of Workplace Incivility, Academic Leadership, and Organizational Justice on the Effectiveness of Indian higher educational institutions.

His current areas of research include: Academic Incivility, Workplace Ostracism, Academic Leadership, Organizational Effectiveness, Cross-Cultural Studies, and Health Psychology.

He has delivered Training Sessions as part of Management Development Programs to various organizations, namely: Bihar Agricultural Management& Extension Training Institute (BAMETI), Government of Bihar; Water Resources Department (WRD), Government of Bihar; Bihar Institute of Public Administration & Rural Development (BIPARD), Government of Bihar; Bihar Police Academy (BPA), Government of Bihar; National Thermal Power Corporation Ltd (NTPC), and Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL).
