IIM Ranchi, in collaboration with the Oriental Institute, The Czech Academy of Sciences, is hosting a one-day conference and workshop on Geopolitics of the Himalayan Region on August 09, 2025.

The Himalayan Region is a melting point of cultures and consists of multiple developing economies, which are at various stages of economic development. The region consists of a diverse group of countries, some of which are the largest in terms of economy, area, and/or population, and some others which are located in critical locations geopolitically. All these countries share concerns in terms of economic growth, employment, resource utilization, free trade, investment inflows and outflows, and critically on managing geopolitical risks in a very dynamic region of the globe.

The upcoming one-day conference and workshop aims to bring in experts from different regions across the globe who will deliberate on the geopolitical issues of the Himalayan Region with a multi-disciplinary perspective.
