IIM Ranchi is about 8kms from the airport and 6-7kms from railway stations and can safely be reached by auto-rickshaws or taxis round the clock at reasonable rates.

• Road: well-connected especially from Jamshedpur, Dhanbad, Bokaro, etc. – the journey would take from 3to 5 hours.
• Rail: there are two railway stations at Ranchi are known as Ranchi & Hatia and are well connected by trains .
