About

The Summer Program in Management (SPM) at IIM Ranchi is a rigorous, on-campus program designed for undergraduate students and recent graduates considering an MBA. It provides a valuable opportunity to learn from IIM Ranchi faculty, interact with industry practitioners, and engage with current MBA students in a collaborative academic setting.

Whether as a standalone learning experience or as an introduction to life at an IIM, the SPM serves as an excellent starting point. Participants will develop a foundational understanding of management, gain insights into business education, and build meaningful connections within the IIM Ranchi community.

The program will be conducted in residential mode at the IIM Ranchi campus over six days (25–30 May 2026). Upon successful completion, participants will be awarded a certificate from IIM Ranchi.

Admission Process/Eligibility Criteria

Applicants to the Summer Program in Management (SPM) at IIM Ranchi must meet the following requirements:

  • Be at least 17 years of age at the time of application.
Be a current undergraduate/graduate student in any discipline or a recent graduate exploring the option of pursuing an MBA.

How to Apply?

  • Complete and submit the online application form available on the IIM Ranchi website.
  • Include a Statement of Purpose (SoP) within the application (maximum 500 words).
  • Submit the duly filled form via the official admission link:Apply Online
  • Applications, including the SoP, will be reviewed by the Programme Committee, which may follow up with candidates if required.

Application deadline

  • Application start date: 8th April 2026

  • Application end date: 17th May 2026

Communication of admission results:

Prior to 10 days of the commencement of the program

Programme Fee

The Programme fee for the Summer Programme in Management is INR 30,000 + 18% of GST.

Course Coverage

1. MBA Orientation and Institutional Immersion
An introduction to the MBA journey through leadership interactions, alumni insights, and exposure to the academic culture and campus life at IIM Ranchi.

2. Experiential Learning and MBA Pedagogy
Hands-on engagement with case methods, simulations, role plays, and data visualization to understand how management learning is practiced.

3. Business Functions and Emerging Technologies
Foundational exposure to marketing, AI-driven decision-making, and digital branding, highlighting how technology reshapes modern business practice.
