Prof. Amit Sachan is Professor of Operations Management and Dean (Executive Education & Consultancy) at the Indian Institute of Management Ranchi. He holds a B.Tech. in Industrial Engineering from IIT Roorkee and a doctorate from MDI Gurgaon, and brings prior industry experience from AON Hewitt. His work spans operations management, business analytics, and digital technologies. He is the author of Business Statistics Using ChatGPT (Notion Press, 2025) and Business Statistics Using Python (McGraw Hill, 2024), a co-author of the 12th edition of Operations Management: Sustainability and Supply Chain Management, and has published widely in top-tier journals. A GLOCOLL alumnus at Harvard Business School (2014) and recipient of the Dewang Mehta Award (2012), Professor Sachan has nearly two decades of experience in teaching, research, executive education, and public-sector consulting, with strong engagement in doctoral supervision and academic governance.
