About
IIM Ranchi’s MBA (executive) programme prepares students to lead across functions and industries by synthesizing cross-functional perspectives and translate their experience into strategic insight and measurable organisational impact. Designed for working executives, it follows a hybrid learning model that combines academic rigor with professional flexibility. Each academic term begins with structured weekend online sessions, enabling participants to balance learning with organisational responsibilities, and culminates in immersive residential modules at IIM Ranchi or its designated satellite campus. This integrated format fosters intensive academic engagement, meaningful faculty interaction, and rich peer learning while minimizing travel and extended study leave requirements, thereby ensuring academic excellence and sustained connection with the IIM Ranchi ecosystem.
Curriculum and Pedagogy
The MBA (executive) is a two-year programme structured across six terms, designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of core management concepts, theories, and practices. The first year of the programme strengthens managerial foundations in key management domains such as economics, accounting and finance, marketing, operations, strategy, organisational behavior, information systems, and business communication-contextualized for experienced professionals and anchored in real-time organisational challenges. The second year offers flexible pathways through electives across multiple streams, providing enough opportunity for students to hone their knowledge and skills.
