Sumit Mohanty

Dr. Sumit Mohanty received his bachelor’s and master’s degree in Mathematics from Utkal University, and his Ph.D. from the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, IIT Kanpur. His Ph.D. research work is related to the combinatorial analogue of some classical PDEs. He has a few years of postdoctoral research experience from IIT Kanpur, NISER Bhubaneswar, and IISc Bangalore. He also has a few years of teaching experience at IISER Thiruvananthapuram and GITAM Visakhapatnam. He joined the Humanities and Applied Sciences area at IIM Ranchi in March 2022.His broad research interest is graph theory and combinatorics. In particular, he works on the problems related to combinatorial PDEs on graphs, and the interrelation between graphs and related matrices using combinatorial techniques.
